“Cornell Botanic Gardens is a wonderful resource for Cornell students, faculty, staff, and community members and is becoming known globally. It’s an especially a beautiful place to enjoy walking all year round. I’m thrilled to be involved with this dynamic organization.”
As an undergraduate student, I enjoyed strolling through the gardens and trails maintained by the Botanic Gardens, then known as “Cornell Plantations.” And even today, some 40 years later, I still enjoy these same places. The Botanic Gardens has grown to offer so much more, with a focus on biological and cultural diversity and sustainability, and I’ve become more enamored of this magnificent resource within the university. While I do enjoy gardening, I am not a professional horticulturist or landscaper. I simply enjoy the beauty and importance of plants.
