Description

Backround sized; leaves slightly wavy, oval, gray-green and leathery, 7" (17.5cm) wide, 11" (27.5cm) long, 12 pairs of veins. Plants form a mound 20" (50cm) high and 24" (60cm) wide. Scapes 60" (150cm) or more with many, near-white, funnel-shaped flowers in midsummer. Performs best in shade to 3/4 sun (DS 197). Very large, upright-spreading plant whose leaves are covered with a distinctive ashy, grey-green dusting, and have a leathery texture. Buds are pale purple, opening to fragrant flowers (DS 228).
