Description

Rounded, low-branched tree with ascending branches reaching 30' to 40' in height. Flowers white, fragrant, 2/5" to 3/5" across, borne in mid-April to early May in drooping, loose, 3" to 6" long racemes. Fruit is black, 1/4" to 1/3" across, effective in July and August. One of the first trees to leaf out in spring;fall color sometimes yellow to bronze.
