I joined Cornel Botanic Gardens in 2024 and spend most of my time maintaining the plants in the arboretum. I’ve been working in and around trees my whole life. I grew up in the Allegheny National Forest which gave me an appreciation for the natural world at a very young age. I earned a B.S. degree in Environmental Health at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and pursued a career in arboriculture and ecological restoration. I am an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist with a Tree Risk Assessment Qualification. I enjoy climbing old growth trees, learning about indigenous cultures of North America, wild foraging, and growing sustainable food systems.
