About

I am an environmental educator, nurturing healthy human relationships and connections between people and the planet. I work with k-12 students, their teachers and education volunteers to create and deliver meaningful and impactful programming at Cornell Botanic Gardens. As a Kids Discover the Trail site, Cornell Botanic Gardens welcomes all the 3rd graders from Ithaca City School District and Trumansburg (400+) to Mundy Wildflower Garden to participate in Wildflower Exploration: Learning about Plants by Studying Native Wildflowers. I coordinate the Learning by Leading program, working closely with undergraduate team members, peer co-leaders and staff mentors to support co-created project-based internship experiences at Cornell Botanic Gardens.

With a background in Environmental Studies (SUNY University at Buffalo) and Environmental Education (Western Washington University), I have been pursuing and collecting eclectic adventures for 20+ years. Before coming to Cornell Botanic Gardens, I had the pleasure of working in museums, nature preserves, National Parks, and non-profits all over the US delivering a variety of educational programs. Since 2010, I’ve been intentionally rooting in the Ithaca area. Most recently, I worked at Ithaca Children’s Garden for 8 years growing education experiences and supporting the year-round events and programs. Starting in 2024, I’m very enthusiastic about being part of this inspiring team!
