Description

Perennial reaching 3' in height, pubescent to tomentose sweet-scented; leaves sessile, oblong to nearly ovate, acute or obtuse, with or without an apical cusp, serrate, rugose, somewhat pubescent above and often heavily so beneath; inflorescence usually branched, spicate, verticillasters many, usually congested; calyx campanulate, hairy, corolla whitish or pink; summer blooming.
