Description

Herb to 1.5 m. Leaf blades shield-shaped. thin, broadly lobed, dentate; petiole long, slender. Flowering stems 90-150cm, lower than topmost leaves; inflorescence resembling that of Astilbe; flowers numerous, small, white; calyx fused at base with 5 ovate lobes above; petals 5, obovate-oblong; stamensusually 8; ovary partly inferior.
