Description

Extremely vigorous and quick-growing, Salvia nemorosa 'Sensation Rose' forms neat rosettes of grey-green foliage 10-12" tall and 18" across from which long, sturdy spikes emerge, studded with purple buds that open to bright pink blooms from spring into fall. The flowers open from the bottom of the spike first, creating a two-tone effect. Good side branching means that shorter, smaller spikes are continuously emerging as the old ones mature. Once established in the garden, it is quite drought-tolerant, and is untroubled by pests and diseases.
