Description
Selection from Illinois Nurseryman Phill King, noted for its excessive vigor and handsome flowers. Young compound leaves have an overall burgundy cast, which turns a pleasant fresh green during summer and an attractive orange-red in fall. A new flush of foliage frequently occurs in midsummer. Numerous star-shaped cherry-red flowers float above the foliage in spring, becoming an even richer red as they mature. Becomes more tolerant of dry conditions with establishment.
