Plants reach 1.2 cm in height; leaves to 50 cm across, glossier than those of the other species, usually palmate with 5 leaflets, the margins deep and sharply jagged-serrate, bronze when young, becoming brown-hairy. Inflorescence reaching to 2 m, yellowish-white, effective in June and July. The best species for floral display.
