Description

Plants to 3' tall, glabrous to glabrescent; leaves lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, to 3.5" long, cordate or cuneate, serrate; inflorescence a raceme with axillary peduncled cymes; calyx 1/3 as long as corolla,violet-tinged, mouth oblique, teeth short, acute, corolla to 1.5" long, violet-blue, tube not curved;summer-blooming.
