Description
A rather confusing group of serrate-leaved beeches. Leaves ovate-lanceolate, with 7 to 9 rather deep andregular serrations on each side, the sinuses extending about 1/3 of the way to the midrib. Considerablevariation in the degree of serration occurs on any one tree.
