Description

Medium-sized compact narrow tree of columnar habit reaching 18' in height and 8' in width. Young leaves emerge red-purple, mature to bronze-green, and develop excellent fall color. Flowers single, dark red; fruit dark red, 0.5" across. Subject to mild scab (Nichols). Synonyms = M. 'Simpson 328-AA' andM. 'Arnold Arboretum No. 328-55-A'.
