Stems to 1m; branchlets purple, minutely pubesent. Leaves ovate to oblong, acute or obtuse, attenuate at base, to 18x8mm, scabrous above, sparsely pubescent beneath, 3-5 veined; petiole to 3mm. Flowers few, clustered in axils, violet-purple; corolla to 18mm, exterior and throat pubescent, lobes oblong-lanceolate.
