Small shrub, to 60cm. Stems much-branched, becoming spiny, spines branched. Leaves spathulate-obovate, silver scaly; flowering stem leaves linear-lanceolate. Petals deep rose, tapering to claw. Fruit 4-6mm, obovoid, glabrous; style 4-6mm; seed broad-winged.
