Description

Rhizome black, creeping; fronds alternate, erect to 1 m tall and 15 cm wide, 1-pinnate, the pinnae deeply pinnatifid, oblong-lanceolate, conspicuously soft-herbaceous. Rachis green, glabrous, the lower half often without pinnae; pinnae on fertile fronds furl thereby appearing much narrower.
