Description

`Palibin' is the compact form of the species that is prevalent in the American Nursery Trade. A small,dense, neat mounded shrub; flowers violet-purple, densely packed in 4" long, 2 1/2" wide panicles, bornein early to mid May, effective for 10-14 days, fragrant, but not the soft fragrance associated withS. vulgaris. Flowers literally cover the plant and are spectacular; one of the best lilacs for flower effect.
