To 4' tall; hardy to -20 degrees F.; early-midseason blooming; A.R.S. rating 3-4/3-4/4. Compact habit, dark green leaves. Ruffled flowers are burgundy-red with dark red blotch held in globular trusses. (Anthony M. Shammarello, intro. 1964).
