Description

Shrub to 3m. Branches erect, twigs hoary-pubescent, becoming glabrous. Leaves 5-12x1.5-3cm, linear oblong, at first silky, becoming glabrous above, persistently hairy beneath, entire to serrulate, with subdued variegations; petiole hariy, 5-10mm. Catkins 2-5cm; ovary subsessile, silky-villous.
