Description
Bushy herbaceous perennial to 60cm, usually shorter; stems several, erect, angular, not winged. Leaves terminate in a point, not a tendril; stipules to 2.5 x 0.8cm, ovate-lanceolate, rarely linear, semi-saggitate; leaflets to 10 x 3cm, 2-4, oval to lanceolate, acuminate, weakly parallel-veined. Racemes terminal and axillary, 3-15 flowered, to 25.5cm; calyx to 1cm, gibbous; corolla to 2cm, initially red-violet, becoming green-blue. Fruit to 6 x 0.8cm, brown, glabrous, 8-14 seeded.
