Description

Perennial herb to 70cm; stem usually branched. Leaves to 13cm, ovate, mid-green, often ternte, grey pubescent. Capitula solitary to ca. 8cm diameter; receptacle hemispheric to ovoid-conic; phyllaries glandular, hispid; ray florets yellow; dic florets deep brown-purple. Pappus corona crenate-toothed.
