Walking directions to Cornell Botanic Gardens’ Nevin Welcome Center:
From North Campus (including Balch Hall and Risley Hall):
Cross over Beebe Dam on the Triphammer Foot Bridge. Walk east along the path that parallels Forest Home Drive on the south side of Beebe Lake. At the clearing for the Class of ’36 Overlook, cross Forest Home Drive to Plantations Road. A short path on the left leads to the Welcome Center.
From North Campus (including Helen Newman Hall and Appel Commons):
Take the staircase a short distance east of Helen Newman Hall to the Sampson Trail. Continue on the Sampson Trail; take the staircase down to Beebe Lake on Sackett Bridge. Walk up the staircase to meet Forest Home Drive. Take a right onto footpath that parallels Forest Home Drive. Cross Forest Home Drive to Plantations Road. A short path on the left leads to the Nevin Welcome Center.
From Arts Quad on Central Campus:
Walk East toward Rand Hall to East Avenue and walk toward the intersection of Forest Home Drive. Walk on Forest Home Drive to access a trail along Beebe Lake and follow until you reach the intersection of Plantations Road. Cross Plantations Road and enter the parking lot and follow the walkway to the Nevin Welcome Center.
From the Ag Quad on Central Campus:
Walk through the breezeway between Mann Library and the Plant Science building past Emerson Hall. Veer to the left behind the Mann Library addition to access a footpath leading downhill toward Beebe Hall. When the footpath intersects Plantations Road, cross the road to access the sidewalk to the Nevin Welcome Center.
