2025: Creating Connection, Conserving Plants, Cultivating Well-Being

Cornell Botanic Gardens' work on behalf of the earth and the university in 2025 joined disciplines, cultures, and people. We diligently safeguarded the plants and ecosystems in our care, planning and planting to help them adapt to a changing climate. We fostered connections with diverse cultures, collaborating to preserve and extend plant knowledge to future generations.

Learning by Leading, our student engagement program, grew in 2025, now with four thriving teams. Students develop leadership skills while creating programs and initiatives that extend Cornell Botanic Gardens’ life-enhancing presence to greater numbers of Cornell students and community members.

Cornell Botanic Gardens relies on the financial support of donors to enable its mission-driven work and role as the natural centerpiece of Cornell University. The university counts on Cornell Botanic Gardens to sustain its operations largely through the generosity of supporters. With your help, we can continue to conserve the natural world on which we depend and enrich the academic and personal lives of countless Cornellians and visitors.
