Description
Perennial herb, closely related to Chionodoxa and Scilla. Leaves to 15x0.5cm, 2-3, basal, linear-lorate. Flowering stems 5-20cm, naked; flowers in a loose raceme, white, sub-sessile or, on lower stems, on pedicels to 1cm; perianth short tubular, 7-10mm, lobes 6, erect or slightly spreading; stames 6, filaments united in a 6-lobed corona, anthers borne on corona and alternating with corona lobes; ovary superior; style 1. Fruit a 3-valved, spherical capsule.
