Description

'Great Wall' produces a dense upwelling of stems and foliage some 12 feet tall whose girth expands just a few inches a year. The new stems, which emerge in late spring or early summer, are dusted with blue but turn purplish-brown as they age. Leaves are larger than those of other Fountain Bamboos and it is also more cold-tolerant, reliably hardy to -30°:F.
