Description

Mound-forming. Plant height 60cm. Plant spread 130cm. Flowers single, 3.7-4.2cm in diameter, outwards pose. Petals both overlapping and discreet, inflexed at base, shallowly notched once. Flowers medium magenta pink (N78B), parallel veins deep burgundy red-purple (N79A). Stigma and top half of style pinkish burgundy-red, filaments pale pink. Anthers cream maturing to blue and fawn. Flower eye cream, revealing the green of the sepals as a five-pointed star through the gaps between the bases of the petals. Buds and stems green and hairy tinted burnt orange red. Elongated carpels orange red (42B to 42D). Flowered late May - late July. 90% flower : foliage. Leaves 3.5-6.5cm long, 4.5-9cm wide, 6 main divisions cut 1/3-2/3 into the leaf, basal divisions split into 2 lobes, margin cut. Leaves medium green with hint of yellow. Very slightly hairy. Basal leaves to 16cm wide, 15cm long, glossy. Unique colour. Extremely floriferous.
