Description

Introduced by the Dutch Hosta Society at their 15th Anniversary meeting, named in honor of Harry van de Laar, a well known Dutch plantsman. This is a seedling that comes from H. longipes hypoglauca x H. ‘Maruba Iwa’. The leaves are grayish-green with white backs and are held on red petioles. The red goes up into the leaves which are topped with lilac flowers in later summer. Good substance and makes a medium sized clump.
