Description

Leaf blades dark green, ovate-cordate, to 9" long, with 7 to 9 nerves on either side of the midrib; petiolenarrowly winged. Flowers abruptly campanulate above the tube, dark violet with darker veins, to 2" long,held in a long, erect, loose, 10- to 15-flowered raceme, anthers dark violet, seeds produced freely,summer-blooming.
