Description

Hylotelephium 'Black Jack' was discovered at Michigan's Walters Gardens in their field of H. 'Matrona'. The difference is that the stems and foliage are dramatically darker black-purple than H. 'Matrona'. Hylotelephium 'Black Jack' makes an equally robust 2' tall clump of purple stems holding the black-purple foliage. In September, the large 8" flower heads of pink provide a nice contrast.
