Stems very short; leaves linear, 4-angled, 8-10" long in flower, elongating to 1 1/2'; spathes 1-flowered;flowers violet-scented, perianth tube 3-6" long, segments deep violet-purple, falls ovate 1/2" wide,crests yellow, standards erect, 2 1/2" long, 1/4" wide.
