Description
This splendid form of Ligularia japonica is from a 2005 seed collection by plantsman Hans Hansen in Sichuan, China. It has made an outstanding clump in our garden, composed of cutleaf bold leaves (less serrated than the Japanese form). Starting in mid-June (NC) the3' tall clumps are topped with 4' spikes of yellow-orange flowers. Moist soils produce the largest plants.
