Description

Perennial reaching 1 m in height; stems erect or ascending, pilose with tuberculate hairs. Leaves broadly cordate or suborbicular, to 10 cm in diameter, 3-, 5-, or 7-lobed, petiole to 15 cm. Flowers axillary in clusters of 2 to 5 in the upper leaf axils; petals 1.5-2 cm long, mauve, paler and hairy at the base, notched at the apex.
