Description
35-85cm. Basal leaves 15-40 x 10-40cm, orbicular to cordate, to 7-10 lobes for up to two-thirds of their length, acutely dentate; petiole 20-45cm, widened at base to form stipules, sometimes leaf-like. Flowers borne in terminal cymes with floral parts in fives; sepals fused at base, campanulate, free sepal lobes erect, lanceolate or triangular; petals short-clawed, cream to pale yellow with glandular hairs, short-lived, stamens 10, in 2 whorls of 5 inserted on the rim of the floral cup; ovary semi-inferior. Calyx glandular, sepal lobes 3-6mm; petals 2-3 x longer than sepal lobes, cuneate at base; stamens shorter than sepal lobes.
