Description
Tree to 30m high; bark rather thin, silver-gray on young trees, later more ash-gray, branches ash-gray to gray-brown, short-pubescent, needles acute or slightly incised, pale blue-green with two white stomatal bands beneath. Cones about 9cm long and 3.5cm wide; scales nearly circular, bract scales hidden.
