Description

Tree reaching 25m in height with a flat top and gray, pubescent branches. Leaves 5-lobed or lobulate, 10-15cm wide, similar to those of A. campestre but larger, olive green, slightly pilose on both sides, pale green on the undersides, deeply divided on young trees but more truncate at the base on older trees, the lobes rather acuminate and somewhat wavy. Petioles pubescent, fall color yellow. Flowers held interminal corymbs, yellow green.
