Description
Tree reaching 10 to 20 m in height with broad open, conical form, densely twiggy with spreading branches that nod at the tips; branchlets a good silver-gray, moss-like, crispate, soft to the touch; leaves all needle-form, dense, radially arranged, soft, blue-green above, silvery-white beneath. By modern interpretation this is not an artificially fixed juvenile form (never substantiated!), rather it is a mutation withneedle-form leaves.
