Description

Tree to 25-50m. Bark white, powdery, sometimes pink, red or blue-grey. Juvenile leaves alternate, narrow to broadly lanceolate often peltate, sometimes setose, on petiole and lamina (the 'hairs' ar long glands); adult leaves alternate, 8-16 x 0.5-2cm, lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, stongly lemon-scented when crushed, lateral veins just visible, at 35-50x, intramarginal vein up to 1mm from margin; petiole flattened, 13-20mm. Conflorescences terminal or sometimes axillary, corymbose panicles; umbels 3-flowered; peduncle terete, 3-7mm; pedicels 1-6mm; buds clavate. Fruit ovoid or urceolate, 7-15 x 7-11mm, often warty.
