Description
Small, handsome tree of upright-oval to rounded outline with clean, ascending branches. Flowers perfect, greenish-white, 1/3" in diameter, borne in many-flowered, 2"-3" diameter cymes in June and July. Fruit a fleshy 1/3" diameter grayish-brown drupe. Bark flat gray to gray-brown, distinctive. Branches of theinflorescence are sweet and edible; they mature in September & October.
