Description

Habit open columnar, to 8 m. high, branches and twigs upright, needles awl-shaped; selected from seed introduced from Hupeh, China in 1905 at Glenn Dale, MD; very similar to 'Mas' (DS 8). "A rapid-growing clone of 'Pyramidalis', but of narrower habit and with a definite trunk" (DS 3).
