Description

Weeping tree, the upright leader with very pendulous red branches, leaves tinged blue. Bark light grey becoming darker with white cracks. Branchlets dense, bunched. Shoots off-white, becoming buff then brown, glabrous, lustrous. Buds ovate, brown, to 6mm; bud scales keeled, mucronate. Leaves stiff, dull blue-green, 10-18mm, sharply acute, imbricate to asurgent above shoot, spreading at sides and below. Cones 3-5x1cm; ovoid-cylindric, tapering at ends, green becoming light brown; scales very thin obtuse, margin rounded, flexible.
