Description

Tree reaching 20-25m in height in the wild, distinguished particularly by the 5-6mm thick bark, not cracked or furrowed, covered with loosley appressed scales; crown narrowly conical, needles between 1.4 and 1.2mm wide, cones symmetrical, scale ends flat, seeds released soon after the cones are ripe and then quickly abscising.
