Description

Narrowly pyramidal, sometimes columnar in form, reaching 30' to 60' in height (can attain 100') with arelatively narrow spread. Needles 5, held 3 years, densely bundled, 3" to 4" long, 1/36" wide, apexpointed, straight, rather stiff, margin finely toothed, both inner sides with 3 to 5 lines, densely borne,pointing forward, dark green on upper side, grayish on the inner surfaces. Cones terminal, short-stalked,solitary or 3 to 4 together, spreading or deflexed, nearly cylindrical, 3" to 6" long, light brown and resinous.
