Description

Seedling descendents of C. tubulosa 'Wyevale', a selection made for its large, frilled, fragrant blue flowers, borne in axillary as well as terminal clusters. The seedlings have overwhelmingly resembled the original parent, varying mostly by shade of blue and degree of frilling on the flower. Species description: Climbing shrub. Leaves petiolate, divided with 3 leaflets, leaflets ovate to rhomboidal, sharply serrate. Inflorescence paniculate-corymbose, axillary, sessile or shortly pedunculate; flowers campanulate; sepals pale blue-lilac, slightly recurved at tips. (DS 350)
