Cultivation
A 3-7' tall plant with sturdy round stems and blue-green lobed leaves. Produces a panicle of starry white flowers.
Light: Full sun to shade.
Moisture and Soil: moist soil in full sun, drier soils in shade.
Propagation
Seed Treatment and Storage: Seeds germinate in cool soil after a 30-60 day period of cool, moist stratification.
Biocultural value
The Haudenosaunee prepared an infusion of the crushed plant to treat nosebleeds and took a root infusion internally as a gall bladder medicine. The Montagnais used the leaves to flavor salmon.

Wildlife value
Tall meadow rue is primarily wind pollinated, but beetles visit staminate flowers to feed on pollen.
