Make your first stop Cornell University’s Martin Y. Tang Welcome Center where staff are on hand to orient you and answer your questions about Cornell. The Tang Welcome Center is located at 616 Thurston Avenue and is a short walk from Cornell Botanic Gardens’ Nevin Welcome Center.

Ithaca is Gorges
Come for the beauty, stay for even more beauty! In addition to Cornell Botanic Gardens, there is an abundance of natural beauty throughout the Ithaca area including more gorges and waterfalls, lakeshore, forests, and other nature preserves. Ithaca’s Discovery Trail
Cornell Botanic Gardens is part of the Discovery Trail, a partnership of top attractions in the Ithaca Area. The Trail includes the kid-friendly Sciencenter, bird exploration at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, wild animals of the Cayuga Nature Center, amazing fossils at the Museum of the Earth, art collections at Cornell’s Johnson Museum, local artifacts at the History Center and timely cultural events and books at the Tompkins County Public Library.
