About

I joined the Cornell Botanic Gardens in February 2017, after 11 years communications and marketing at two of Cornell’s business schools—the Johnson Graduate School of Management and Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. In my roles there, I led content strategy and development and public and media relations, with a focus on elevating intellectual capital. I was integrally involved in two brand development and repositioning initiatives over those years.

I was drawn to Cornell Botanic Gardens because wanted to bring my experience to an organization that is advancing a greater good in the world, one that was meaningful to me. I have a passion for plants and the natural world, and particularly for Cornell Botanic Garden and its F.R. Newman Arboretum. The arboretum holds special meaning for me, as a museum of the earth’s longest-lived plants and a place of beauty and peace. I love my role here—to bring our vision and mission to broader audiences and to increase their understanding of the vital connections between plants and our human cultures.

Prior to coming to Cornell, was a business journalist, magazine editor, and award-winning columnist. I earned my master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
