About

With almost 17 years at Cornell Botanic Gardens, I have been responsible for monitoring and performing preventative and responsive maintenance on all of our facilities. This has ensured that there is proper functioning of all building mechanical equipment within each of our structures. I also advise and perform any necessary equipment service or repairs and will direct any repairs to the proper shops.

Assisting with maintenance in a safe and effective manner is top priority for me. I am often demonstrating and training other staff in our organization on safe and appropriate use of various power tools and heavy equipment.

I am also the creative “project” person for the odd requests that come up each year. When there’s a program need for something that we do not own or does not exist, I get to use my creativity in devising something that serves as the next best thing.
