About

My current position, as field assistant, is primarily a construction position; we work within both the gardens and the natural areas to build fences, stone walls, boardwalks, signboards, stairs, etc. I also work, at times, in the F.R. Newman Arboretum performing landscape maintenance tasks. I have worked at Cornell Botanic Gardens since 1999 and have worked as a natural area steward and gardener, as well as in my current construction position. The gardens and natural areas are a wonderful setting in which to work, and it has been satisfying to have played a role in their construction and maintenance.
