The meadows here have a diverse mix of grasses and forbs with many summer field flowers and a small pond that attract butterflies and the upland forest has a rich assemblage of spring wildflowers. The rather undisturbed swamp forest is part of Townley Swamp, one of the largest swamps in Tompkins County.
