Description

A deciduous, upright-rounded multistemmed shrub, which grows at a medium rate to 10-12 feet tall and as wide. Foliage is glossy, dark green with moderately pubescent petioles, becoming burgundy colored in autumn. Creamy white flowers are borne in mid to late June, and are followed by blue-black fruits in late September. Adaptable to a broad spectrum of soils, including those which are calcareous. Grows best in full sun or partial shade; avoid extreme wetness. This plant is wider and rounder than V.d. 'Chicago Lustre'.
